Beverly Glenn-Copeland - Primal Prayer

The new-age funk-hop that summarizes Beverly Glenn-Copeland's third album Primal Prayer feels like what might happen if Grace Jones and Massive Attack co-parented the Annie Lennox discography.

Throughout a 50 year recording career, Glenn Copeland's music has defied categorization and genre. Primal Prayer was originally self-released in 2004 under the nom de plume Phynix to a small but appreciative audience. The tracks are a rhythmically complex and wildly creative fusion of jazz, world, dance and classical genres. This is the first vinyl edition!
