Ibeyi - Spell 13

Lisa-Kaindé and Naomi Díaz, the twins who make up the duo Ibeyi, return with their new album Spell 13. It features the joyous single “Sister 2 Sister,” which celebrates their deep connection to one another and the idea of sisterhood. With their self-titled debut in 2015 and follow-up Ash in 2017, Ibeyi have embedded their spirited and spiritual music with themes of resistance and mindfulness.

Spell 31 comes five years after their acclaimed sophomore album Ash. The record features Jorja Smith on the single "Lavender & Red Roses", as well as Pa Salieu, Berwyn, and their late father Miguel ‘Angá’ Díaz - a celebrated conguero who played with the Afro-Cuban All Stars and Buena Vista Social Club. Spell 13 also includes a cover of Black Flag’s “Rise Above".
