The mythical and famously tormented singer will forever be credited with making guitar greats like Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix pick up an axe. Johnson had a short but impactful musical tenure in the Thirties, and after allegedly 'selling his soul at the crossroads', became the best country blues singer in his time. Unfortunately, the devil did eventually take his soul at the age of 27.
