Celebrate the 60th anniversary of Elektra's first rock band, Love. LA based, lead by Arthur Lee and the guitar prowess of Johnny Echols, they were one of the first prominent racially diverse rock bands of the era. Their psychedelic stylings and experimental nature reverberated influence in the decades to come. This box set brings together their first 4 albums on the Elektra label, which after signing Love became a proponent of rock music with bands like The Doors, The Eagles, The Stooges, and many more.
This RSD Black Friday box set includes the albums from 1966-1969, the self-titled Love, plus Da Capo, Forever Changes, Four Sail, and an LP of extras filled with demos, outtakes, alternates and more. Forever Changes has been regarded as one of the best and most important psychedelic albums of the 1960s.
The albums have all been newly remastered in 2025 and are included in a hard box set featuring the original album covers.
Exclusive 5LP vinyl box set produced by Rhino Records in celebration of Record Store Day Black Friday 2025. Only 2000 copies worldwide.
