Original Broadway Cast - The Outsiders: A New Musical

The Outsiders: A New Musical is a musical interpretation of the classic story based on the seminal novel by S.E. Hinton and Francis Ford Coppola's landmark motion picture of the same name. The musical, told from the perspective of 14-year-old Ponyboy Curtis, is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma during the 1960s and follows the conflict between two rival gangs divided by their socioeconomic status: the working-class "Greasers" and the upper-middle-class "Socs".

The 2023 musical features music and lyrics by Jamestown Revival (Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance) and Justine Levine and a book by Adam Rapp with Levine. The Outsiders opened on Broadway with a cast led by Brody Grant as Ponyboy Curtis, Sky Lakota-Lynch as Johnny Cade, Joshua Boone as Dallas Winston, Brent Comer as Darrel Curtis, Jason Schmidt as Sodapop Curtis, Emma Pittman as Cherry Valance and Daryl Tofa as Two-Bit.

This 2LP vinyl edition was produced by Sony Masterworks Broadway in 2024.
