Broken Social Scene - Hug of Thunder

Third Man Records had the pleasure of hosting the inimitable Broken Social Scene, carefully absorbing and recording their magnetic and unforgettable live set on the Blue Room stage.

Broken Social Scene's 2nd album seemed to legitimize Canada's highly touted "post-rock" scene. Drawing on a revolving cast of 11 members, "You Forgot It In People" features Metric's Emily Haines, and Toronto indie fave, Leslie Feist.

First ever physical release of brand new content from Broken Social Scene, features exclusive brand new artwork! 'Let's Try the After' is the follow up of new material to 2017's triumphant and critically acclaimed 2017 album 'Hug of Thunder'.

Broken Social Scene as a core six-piece who had spent most of 2007 and 2008 on the road, Drew, Canning, Spearin, Whiteman, Goldberg and Peroff spent early 2009 working on new material in Toronto. The end result is 'Forgiveness Rock Record'.
