Jake Shears, lead vocalist and a primary songwriter for the beloved New York City band, the Scissor Sisters is stepping out on his own, for the first time with his self-titled debut album. Jake Shears is a breeze, influenced by the music of his new home in New Orleans, with members of My Morning Jacket and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band gathering to lay down the tracks in single takes.
