It Is Finished is Nina Simone's final album with RCA Records, originally released in 1974, and marked the end of an era: her militant activism had largely concluded and she left the United States to set up home in Barbados.

A characteristically powerful and beguiling set of brilliant covers, the album blends live and studio recordings and includes her incredible rendition of Tina Turner’s "Funkier Than A Mosquito’s Tweeter" as well as takes on "Mr Bojangles", Steppenwolf’s "The Pusher", and the 1930s blues classic "I Want a Little Sugar in My Bowl".
