Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X

Becoming X is one of the most engaging byproducts of post-Portishead trip-hop. While the Sneaker Pimps don't have the doomed romanticism of Portishead or the experimental slyness of Tricky, they do have a great sense of edgy, guitar laced trip-pop. Becoming X creates an airy, urban atmosphere around it's era-defining singles "6 Underground" and "Spin Spin Sugar".

The 1996 album marked the only appearance of Kelli Dayton as lead singer before she was asked to leave the band; Chris Corner replaced her for the band's subsequent albums

This 2LP vinyl edition produced by Clean Up Records. Mastered at 45RPM. UK Import.
