sunn O))) returns in 2026 with their new self-titled album on limited edition opaque blue vinyl. Brooding and dense as ever, snarling distortion and glinting feedback ooze from their newest effort to further solidify their legacy within the drone metal scene.

Framing the album visually are two paintings by the late American artist Mark Rothko. This LP also includes expansive liner notes by author Robert MacFarlane, whose 2025 novel Is a River Alive? is among the many sources of inspiration for the album. This album includes the single "Glory Black".
