System of a Down - Mezmerize

Nearly ten years into their career, System of a Down continue to be the Gilbert and Sullivan of this generation, delivering razor-sharp political commentary via beautiful, quirky melodies and discordant harmonies on Mezmerize, their 4th studio album. Features the singles "B.Y.O.B" and "Question!".

The critically successful quartet delivered Mezmerize, an 11-song, 36-minute blast of hyper-aggressive riffing, breakneck rhythm shifts, and Middle Eastern accented melodies in May 2005. Six months later, they're offering the second side of the album, Hypnotize, which is meant as a companion piece; Mezmerize's "Soldier Side Intro" begins what Hypnotize's "Soldier Side" ends 23 songs later.
