This expanded 2LP red vinyl deluxe edition of Talking Heads' sophomore album, More Songs About Buildings And Food, includes an entire album of rarities, featuring many unreleased gems from this era.
More Songs... was their first of three album collaborations with legendary producer Brian Eno. Sessions began in March 1978, at Chris Blackwell’s newly built Compass Point Studios, making them the first band to record there.
Released that July, the record earned the band their first appearance on the Billboard charts and their reimagining of Al Green’s “Take Me To The River” became a left-field radio success, helping introduce the band to a wider audience. Other singles included "The Girls Want to Be with the Girls", 'The Big Country" and "The Good Thing".
Critics took note of the album’s sharp songwriting and Eno’s layered production: The New York Times naming More Songs... the “#1 album of 1978” and Vogue calling Talking Heads the “most fascinating experimental rock band in the world.”
Exclusive RED 2LP vinyl edition produced by Sire Records / Rhino Records in 2025. Gatefold jacket.
