In the spring of 2019, Canadian comedy wiz Carolyn Taylor (Baroness Von Sketch; I Have Nothing) hosted an eighteen-day creative residency at the Tragically Hip’s Bathouse Recording Studio, in Bath, Ontario. She brought together sixteen artists - primarily queer, and primarily women - to record an experimental, queer witch indie-pop album. 

Taylor collaborated with Toronto band Mintz (Celina Carroll, Sarena Sarain, Carolyn Taylor, Christina Zeidler) as well as many* other contributing artists who came and went over the duration of the album's recording. Nyles Spencer was the recording engineer.

According to Taylor “we ate, slept, wrote, played and heralded the spring equinox together. Most songs emerged from conversations we had earlier in the day or lying on our backs the night before. Some tracks were memories of songs we’d written, or wish we’d written, years before.” 

The project intentionally welcomes you in with a freefall: Cracks In The Ice, and The Message - portals to the album's 33 tracks, weaving together genres that span traditional songcraft to the wildly experimental. Beats, flutes, vocoders, cat choirs - there's always a sonic or lyrical treat on offer. Lead single "Right Now" is available on Bandcamp and Apple Music.

This 2LP vinyl edition is housed in a full colour gatefold sleeve with poly- lined paper sleeves, and an insert containing extensive notes about the recording. It also features a special EP The D Side (D-Sidez) is only available on this vinyl release. Limited to 500 hand-numbered copies worldwide.
