Celebrate the reverb-soaked glory of instrumental surf rock with The Legends of Surf Guitar, a historic live recording from the legendary 1995 Lighthouse concert in Hermosa Beach. This once-in-a-lifetime event brought together originators and revivalists of the genre: from The Chantays, The Surfaris, and Davie Allan to modern torchbearers like Jon & The Nightriders and The Surf Raiders - backed by an all-star “back line” featuring Paul Johnson and members of The Turtles and Los Straitjackets.
The 1995 surf band reunion concert at the Lighthouse nightclub in Hermosa Beach, California has become legendary among modern fans of surf instrumental music as one of the earliest opportunities to have seen 1960's instrumental surf music legends perform. Since that time, some of these individuals have passed away, while others continue to perform at many music events.
Limited AQUA GREEN 2LP vinyl edition produced by Oglio Records in 2025. Only 500 individually-numbered copies worldwide. Gatefold sleeve.
