Jamaican roots-reggae group Culture released their debut album in 1977. Two Sevens Clash is based on a vision singer Joseph Hill had while riding a bus, of 1977 as a year of judgment - "when two sevens clash - when past injustices would be avenged." Lyrics and melodies came into his head as he rode and thus was born the song "Two Sevens Clash" which became a massive hit in both reggae and punk circles, and was championed by John Peel from BBC Radio. The record (now produced with it's original track order) features reggae legends Sly & Robbie, and was produced and recorded with Joe Gibbs.
Exclusive CLEAR BLUE & YELLOW SMOKE vinyl produced by VP Music Group in 2022 for the 'RSD Essentials' campaign.
