Montreal-based pianist and composer Jean-Michel Blais returns with his 2026 album Mirador. Inspired by childhood memories, wonder, and imagination - the latin root of "mirador" means "to marvel" - Blais' fourth album sees him moving away from strict contemporary minimalism into a bright, generous maximalism, combining piano with a 12-voice baroque choir, a string quartet, and traditional Andean instruments. Highlights include the single "Carnavalito".
