Miles Davis - Get Up With It (Music On Vinyl)

Miles Davis' 1974 album Get Up With It is a collection of tracks he recorded between 1970 and 1974, featuring Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin, Lester Chambers, Keith Jarrett. It represents the best of Miles Davis' experiments in the fusion of rock, funk, electronica and jazz. Miles opted to take a break from music for five years after this album was released.

The album's opening track, "He Loved Him Madly" was recorded by Davis as his tribute to then-recently deceased Duke Ellington, who used to tell his audiences "I love you madly". English musician Brian Eno cited it as a lasting influence on his own work.
