'Easter', Patti Smith's third album, was her most commercial-sounding effort yet. Patti Smith hadn't so much sold out as she had learned to use her poetic gifts within an album rock context. The album features one her most successful singles, "Because The Night". It was produced by Bruce Springsteen associate Jimmy Iovine
