The Hamrahlíð Choir has been at the forefront of Icelandic musical life for more than four decades. Its members are former students at Hamrahlíð College in Reykjavík, where Þorgerður Ingólfsdóttir formed a choir in 1967 and was its conductor until 2017. In keeping with their tradition of working closely with Icelandic composers, the choir began its collaboration with Björk in 2017, singing on her album Utopia, and it continued with the Cornucopia concerts in New York City and Europe in 2019.

Orkestral captures part of the 2021 concert series that took place at Reykjavik's Harpa Hall. The show featured the 50-person choir conducted by Þorgerður Ingólfsdóttir and musical director Bergur Þórisson on organ/electronics and features songs primarily from Björk's album Medúlla.

This vinyl edition produced by One Little Independent Records in 2026.
