Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits Vol. II was originally released in 1971. The set contains previously released material spanning from 1963's The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan to the "Watching the River Flow" single released in June 1971, as well as previously unreleased recordings of songs written by Dylan which had been hits for other artists.

The 21-track set features "Lay Lady Lay," "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here with You," "Watching the River Flow" along with other classics "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right," "All I Really Want to Do," "My Back Pages," "Maggie's Farm," "She Belongs to Me," "If Not for You," and "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues."

This 2026 edition includes a live version of "Tomorrow Is a Long Time" along with a live take of "The Mighty Quinn (Quinn the Eskimo)," plus "I Shall Be Released," "Down in the Flood," and "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere” from The Basement Tapes.
