A brand new compilation celebrating David Bowie's 1965 recordings with famed producer Shel Talmy. In 1965, Bowie was recording as Davie Jones in swinging 1960s London. His music from this era was honing in on the mod, beat, psychedelic pop sound that pervaded the UK. Shel Talmy helped shape this sound by producing legendary tracks like The Kinks' "You Really Got Me", The Who's "My Generation", and more. 

At the time, Jimmy Page was a frequent session musician in Shel Talmy's repertoire before his Led Zeppelin fame, and played on a number of tracks in this compilation when Davie Jones was backed by The Manish Boys. 

The Shel Talmy Recordings is a snapshot of David Bowie's early career, finding his place in the bustling UK music scene before embarking on his groundbreaking later work. 

This vinyl edition produced by Parlophone Records in 2026.
