Widely seen as Eminem's magnum opus, The Marshall Mathers LP sold over 1.76 million copies in its first week, earning it a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest selling Rap album ever. It went on to sell over 21 million copies worldwide, earning critical acclaim, as well as considerable controversy and protest from groups such as GLAAD for its homophobic and violent lyrics.

Highlights include "The Real Slim Shady", "The Way I Am", "Stan", which features Dido and "I'm Back". The anniversary edition is housed in a red and gold mirrorboard jacket and features bonus live VMAs performances from 2000.
