Pet Shop Boys - Disco 5

Pet Shop Boys return in 2025 with the latest instalment of their long-running Disco series. Begun in 1986, the compilations collect their more dance-oriented work, featuring remixes of their own songs as well as their remix productions for other artists.

Like its 2007 predecessor, Disco 5 primarily features their remix commissions for others and showcases recent remixes of songs by artists including Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Primal Scream, Tina Turner, Claptone, and more, as well as a remix of their own track “Dreamland” featuring Olly Alexander. Also featured are the PSB-produced rarities “I’m in Love With a German Film Star” by Sam Taylor-Johnson, originally released on Kompakt in 2008, and Carroll Thompson’s Shannon cover “Let the Music Play” which was produced by PSB in the early 90s when it appeared in the soundtrack for the film The Crying Game.
