As Sudan Achives, self-taught violinist, singer, writer, and producer Brittney Parks combines left-field strains of hip-hop, r'n'b, folk, and electronic music with the fiddling style of South Africa. She first advanced her unique approach on a pair of EPs, followed by 2019's full-length debut Athena and the friskier, funkier, award-winning Natural Brown Prom Queen in 2023.

THE BPM is Parks' most ambitious and club-forward music yet. Recorded in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Detroit, Parks takes a full-on dancefloor-ready approach to her unique brand of violin infused music with ecstatic results.
