The Chills - Submarine Bells (Rhino Reserve) [Rocktober 2026]

• Available October 30th, 2026.
• Ship orders including this title will be held back.

The Chills’ second album from 1990, Submarine Bells, is their much-praised major label debut. A rich tapestry of sound built around Martin Phillipps’ off-kilter vocal; all accent, all attitude, it reels around folk-like couplets with brusque punk swagger fed through psychedelic hues; so timeless it still simmers beautifully. It includes the effervescent, euphoric opener "Heavenly Pop Hit".

Exclusive heavyweight vinyl produced by Rhino Records for Rocktober 2026. This Rhino Reserve Audiophile edition was lacquer cut from the Original Analog Master by Matthew Lutthans at The Mastering Lab.
