Cage The Elephant - Cage The Elephant (10th Anniversary)

Cage the Elephant are a band of syncopated groove-oriented rockers whose goal is to convey power to their audience through their music without the interference of too much background information, preferring to let their music be their message.

Drawing on influences from different eras, Cage The Elephant has an appealing sound that combines a strong appreciation of legends like the Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix, offering bluesy, gritty, infectious tunes. Matt, Brad and Daniel grew up on an alternative religious commune started by their ex-hippie parents. Popular music was strictly forbidden in their household, so their discovery of key punk and rock influences was covert and somewhat recent.

The band's 2009 debut album Cage the Elephant features the singles "In One Ear", "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked" and "Back Against the Wall".
