With admirers ranging from Stevie Wonder to Justin Timberlake, Donny Hathaway was among most gifted singer-songwriters of his era. After cutting his teeth as a producer at Curtis Mayfield’s Curtom Records, Donny signed to Atco as a performer, releasing four studio sets and a live album for the label. His talents as composer, keyboardist and arranger shine throughout these 15 tracks, which brim with soul and social consciousness.
