Supertramp's 1979 album Breakfast in America remains their most popular and successful. It yielded the hit singles "The Logical Song", "Take the Long Way Home", "Breakfast in America" and "Goodbye Stranger".
The fact that the album did so well is particularly impressive considering that it's release came at the height of new wave and disco. Breakfast in America's domination of the single and album charts, and the airwaves, was quite unexpected by all concerned. Breakfast In America eclipsed anything they had done before and skyrocketed the band into the commercial stratosphere.
Cut at half-speed with audio transferred by Miles Showell, overseen by album engineer Peter Henderson, at Abbey Road Studios.
Heavyweight vinyl edition produced by A&M Records in 2025.
