Taylor Swift - Red (Taylor's Version) [4LP]
|Status:||ITEM CAN SHIP IMMEDIATELY|
Taylor Swift revisits her 2012 album Red with this newly recorded edition. Red (Taylor's Version) expands the original album to 30 songs, including 9 unreleased songs from the vault. At the time, Red was the clear nexus between where Swift’s career started and where it was heading. After a three-album progression away from country, she revealed the extent of her pop ambition, calling in producers Max Martin and Shellback. Like Fearless (Taylor’s Version), the first of Swift’s re-recordings to be released, Red (Taylor’s Version) stays true to the original.
Highlights include the extended 10 minute version of "All To Well", as well as the hits like "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble". There's also guest appearances from Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol), Ed Sheeran, Phoebe Bridgers and Chris Stapleton.
"Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person. It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators. And I'm not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics back to me in passionate solidarity, or if it was simply time, but something was healed along the way...This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red." - Taylor Swift
